Meir Lotan, B.PT, M.Sc.P.T., Ph.D. is a full professor of physical therapy working at the School of Health Sciences, Department of Physical Therapy, Ariel University, Ariel. Lotan’s clinical work for the past 38 years focused on paediatric intervention, including early assessment for infants at-risk aged 0-3 (within a national early support and follow-up services for young babies; “TIPAT HALAV”), a developmental therapist at child developmental clinics (including children with ASD) aged 3-6. Since 2012 and onward, Lotan has been affiliated with different ASD associations (Alut, Oti, Tipuli) both as a therapist and a PT consultant. In 2017, Lotan has initiated and presented a national annual course entitled: “Physical Therapy intervention for children with autism”. Lotan’s current academic work is focused on , establishing individual early detection of babies with ASD, suggesting therapeutic intervention for these babies and their families.
